We are dealing with action at all the levels of our being – not only the physical act, but the emotional, the psychological, the mental, the unconscious, the conscious act -because that is life. Life is all relationship or action. You cannot escape from these two facts, though action and relationship are synonymous. By ‘action’ we mean that which was done, and that which has to be done, and that which is going to be done. It is a movement, either a continuous movement or a disjointed movement. With most of us, it is disjointed. We live at different levels; there is the office, there is the family, there is public opinion; there are my fears and my gods, my opinions, my judgments, my conditioning; and there are the various pressures, influences of society and so on.
